Plimsoul Blues

Jeff Beck - Truth [BXN 26413 USA 1973 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC]

Originally released on Columbia Records in 1968.

Today's theme is bargain bin records, these next two albums were picked up in British charity shops for no more than a fiver in the last thirty years. This American reissue copy of Jeff Beck's classic blues-rock album wasn't in great shape and after many attempts at deep cleaning, I have finally been able to produce a rip that I believe worthy of publishing. The run-outs were particularly in a bad way but with the help of modern technology, I think only a little fuzziness is obvious, less so if listening on a home hi-fi system.

Apart from Beck's masterful blues guitar, this album is all about Rod Stewart's voice, his style is perfect for this genre & he nails it, so let the Truth belt from your speakers.
