Creation Rebel - Lows & Highs [BRED 33 UK 1982 24-Bit FLAC] Originally intended as a release for On-U Sound Records (ON-U LP 15), however licensed instead to the original Cherry Red Records.  The final album from original On-U dub merchants from Creation Rebel. I've never ripped and posted this before so this should be of interest to many of these who have my other On-U rips. The vinyl may well show its age however the sounds withing these grooves are timeless. Perhaps the label themselves should consider a repress? Check out the superb Love I Can Feel which was also a single in 1982. Enjoy! Creation Rebel - Dub From Creation [ON-U LP 138 UK 2018 24-Bit FLAC] Originally released as a very rare vinyl album on Hitrun Records in 1978. For RSD in 2018, we were treated to a clear vinyl repress of the very rare debut album from Creation Rebel. Dennis Bovell and Adrian Sherwood guide the rebels through ten heavy dubs for one of the best dub albums ever recorded. The album was the first release on Sherwood's first label Hitrun Records and we had to wait just forty years for a repress, direct from the original masters. Prince Far I / Singers & Players - Virgin [ON-U DP1 UK 1982 24-Bit FLAC] Another On-U Sound 10" dub-plate ...actually this was the very first. On-U house band Singers & Players team up with the voice of thunder , Prince Far I for the harsh a-side backed by the gentle soft tones on Bim Sherman for the aa-side. Just one year following release, Far I was gunned down. Look inside the archive and you might also find a classic John Peel session from 1978 featuring Far I and the superb Creation Rebel. Creation Rebel - Independent Man [10" ON-UP DP 3 UK 1982 24-Bit FLAC] Some classic dub to open up a short run of ten inch dub plates from the On-U Sound label. From the comments I received on the old blog and by email, it would seem quite a few of you found ESWA through my original rips and posts a few years ago. So for your enjoyment here's a pounding rip of an original On-U Sound 10" dub plate from penguinflight 's archive. Enjoy. A1   Independent Man B1   Creation Rebel

Creation Rebel - Starship Africa [ON-U LP8 Gold 2017 24-Bit FLAC] The recent highlights from RSD over the last few years have been the On-U Sound reissues. Here is one of a thousand gold vinyls ripped to deep-spacey-dubby high resolution. There were issues with this rip as I could hear a background (wind-like) whine in some of the quiet parts, so after two days of searching for ground loops, reconnecting then disconnecting then reconnecting everything in my set-up and eventually running test comparisons with other records, I have had to conclude that the issue is with the mastering to the gold colour vinyl ....or perhaps a problem created when the master tapes were baked for this reissue. Anyway, it is hardly noticeable, even with headphones, so I shall press on regardless. Here's what I wrote about this album a few years back... Adrian Sherwood's first production work can be heard on Creation Rebel's fine 1978 album Dub From Creation, but it was this album, rec...
