  African Head Charge - My Life In A Hole In The Ground [ON-U LP13 UK 1981 24-Bit FLAC] Between 1986 and 1991, I went on a buying binge of everything I could find on Adrian Sherwood's On-U Sound Records label. During my ESWA blogspot days, I began the process of ripping my On-U Sound library for blog followers to great response. Some of my collection was in a poor state, however I persevered and to my surprise, the label began to bake some of their long forgotten master tapes for a lengthy reissue series.  One of my favourite albums was the debut release by Sherwood's Africa-dub-reggae psychedelic collective, African Head Charge. African Head Charge - Super Mystic Brakes [10" ON-U DP 59 UK 2016 24-Bit FLAC] The revitalised On-U Sound have spent most the last few years baking reel to reel tapes to prepare for a number of iconic reissues. Found among those reels was this unreleased early eighties session recorded as African Head Charge featuring Sherwood as Crocodile, playing the the lowest notes I have ever heard as a bass line (be warned your speakers will rock), Style Scott on Drums and Bonjo I on percussion. The horn section was likely supplied by on-u dub sax stalwart Deadly Headley. These 'lost' tracks were released on this limited 10" dubplate as part of RSD 2016.
