Cath Carroll - Moves Like You [FAC 307 UK 1991 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC] Nice & chilled nineties pop-dance from Manchester's fave pseudo-lesbian (just Google...The Gay Animals), fanzine writer and NME scribe Cath Carroll, which was pushed and pushed and pushed again by Factory Records' desperation for a hit. These days this record is highly desirable among collectors of the label and chill-out aficionados. Whilst fronting indie-pop band Miaow!, Carroll became part of the Factory Records dynasty, she married Big Black guitarist Santiago Durango and began a solo career on the label. With Sheffield musicians Mark Brydon and Sim Lister (both from Chakk), she developed cool & sophisticated electronic dance music, and then incorporated elements (and musicians) from Brazilian jazz.
