Originally released on Warner Brothers Records in the US on July 12th 1979, and Island Records in the UK on the 20th July 1979.

Scholars of The King's English have scorned for decades the random insertion of an unnecessary apostrophe into the name of the other big act to come from Athens, Georgia. Their first five (or six) albums have been fun, zany & essential listening for many over the decades, providing FM radio playlist entertainment across the globe ....plus of course, the occasional wedding night mobile disco floor filler.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab have adjusted their business model since the shame of DSD-gate and their digital step revelations. I have to applaud them for their new found honesty and the inclusion of a new-style SPARS code with each release. They have also dig into their back catelogue, found commercial opportunity in old licensing agreements, plus the metalwork of course, and reissued some key titles from that repertoire. On the flip-side they still announce new releases way too far in advance in an attempt to drive further FOMO with a release schedule which could run into 2028. The label have recently seen sense and removed some unnecessary products from that schedule, plus of course we still await further news on their proposed own pressing plant.

MoFi originally released their lower-priced Silver Label version of the debut B-52s album back in 2011. A few years back they pressed up a bunch more to this fan's delight. The MoFi website claims this is from the original master tape cut all-analogue. Others suggest it was cut from a tape copy as the original is long last, who really cares? - you will never hear a better sounding version of this album.
