Patron Saints Of Dub-Punk

Mighty Ballistics High Power - Here Come The Blues [CRI MLP 131 UK 1986 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC]

This is a brand new rip of this mighty fine mini album by the patron saints of dub-punk, Mighty Ballistics Hi-Power. This is a record which would likely have passed most by unless you listened to the late night BBC Radio shows hosted by John Peel & Andy Kershaw. It isn't a particularly well recorded or pressed album, but that doesn't matter on this occasion.

The dub-punk influence of The Clash will be very evident, but this is hard hitting stuff, mixing agit-pop, old English protest folk, heavy dub reggae and punk, wrapped up in a great Simon Templar-style sleeve. MBHP were not around for long with just one album and one single in 1986 (plus an Andy Kershaw radio session), however they used that tiny window of opportunity to clearly make their point.
