Buzz The Fuzz

The Pretty Things - Closed Restaurant Blues [KIRI 032 UK 1985 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC]

Despite many changes of musical direction and the band disintegration, The Pretty Things survived most of the sixties and seventies as a musical entity, best known for their sixties psyche opus S. F. Sorrow, this splendid album from the important Bam Caruso Records label gathers up tracks from their formative years between 1964 & 1967.

This is a fine compilation of The Pretty Things recordings in a mix of mono & stereo during their early R&B into mod-period, though as you would expect with Bam-Caruso, with lots of groovy psychedelic tinges. There is not one duff track on this well mastered and excellently pressed album, however if you are looking for some highlights, seek out £.S.D., Death Of A Socialite and the fuzzy Buzz The Jerk.
