Doug Sax's mastering work for the Analogue Productions double 45rpm sets of The Doors' main albums is widely perceived as some of his best work, likewise these pressings are appreciated as the very best presentations of The Doors on vinyl.
Often considered as the difficult third album, Waiting For The Sun took a while to record due to Jim Morrison's regular state of inebriation, but it does contain a varied mix of baroque pop and experimental psychedelic rock, making the album an intriguing listen when played as a whole.
