Marquee Cha-Cha

Television - Marquee Moon [R1 1098 DEU 2012 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC]

Allegedly Television practiced for months before recording Marquee Moon back in 1976, following an aborted attempt to record some of these tracks with Brian Eno for Island Records in 1974. They wanted to be proper musicians ....who went onto record one of the most important alternative rock albums of our time. This record shouldn't need much introduction to most, just consider this part of an occasional series to find the best mastered versions of classic albums.

Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering cut the lacquers for this pressing of Marquee Moon, the metal work was prepared at RTI before being shipped to Optimal Media in Germany for pressing. Word is that lacquers don't travel well.
