The Triffids - Wide Open Road [HOT 1230 UK 1986 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC]

Australia can be a desolate, bleak place. No more so than in the vast expanses of  sun baked hinterland between the major cities. The Triffids came from Perth, so I guess they knew all about that. Possibly the best every road trip song written in the eighties, Wide Open Road was to be their second best selling single, charting in the UK and Australia.
