Jay Richford & Gary Stevan - Feelings [BEWITH094LP UK 2021 24-Bit FLAC]

You know I love modern day retrospective labels which dig through archives and discover the rights to long lost and very rare gems. Manchester's Be With Records have really pulled one out here ....Feelings was originally released on the Italian Carosello Records label in 1974, and these days you would be expected to pay approaching four grand for an original copy.

Next, there are no such artists as Jay Richford & Gary Stevan. They are in fact Italian composers Stefano Torossi and Giancarlo Gazzani, but you already knew that ...didn't you? For contractual reasons, the duo could not use their real names therefore choice of American stage  names and a Mantovani-inspired sleeve disguise this lounge-like album of blaxploitation funk, wah-wah infected groovy seventies TV nostalgia, sweeping strings, seventies jazz-smooch and tight funky licks.

Do I also need to mention that the mastering and pressing quality are phenomenal?
