Techno Logical
Logic System - Logic [PROT-7104 JPN 2021 24-Bit FLAC]
Originally released on the Express Records label in Japan during 1981, and then worldwide from 1982 on EMI Records. This album was carefully remastered & repressed onto pristine vinyl for the Japanese reissue market a few months back.
If you watch those early YMO live performances on the net, you will notice a young chap in the background surrounded by banks of processors and sound generators, all with blinking lights and enough wiring to connect a small first world nation. He is Hideki Matsutake and he is a true pioneer of synthpop - Logic System is his alter ego and Logic was his debut album.
These days, you can reproduce Matsutake's sounds on a small laptop in your kitchen, however here is an original master of electronica doing it all in full analogue.
A1 Intro
A2 Unit
A3 Domino Dance
A4 (天変地異) Convulsion Of Nature
A5 XY?
B1 Talk Back
B2 Clash (Chinjyu Of Sun)
B3 Person To Person
B4 Logic

ReplyDeleteBrilliant, cheers BM
DeleteOne of my all time favourites, looking forward to this rip. I must put up some some more Logic System on ESWA...standby for that
ReplyDeleteThank you Blogmeister !
ReplyDeleteThanks for the upload. I have two other versions of this. Your rip of this 2021 vinyl is by far the best! Although it does seem to be missing the attack notes on the first track.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.... I am not too sure what you mean here by 'attack notes'. That rip is exactly as it came from the vinyl. The first track is just forty seconds long.
DeleteOh, by "attack notes" I meant the very first sounds of the very first notes at the beginning. They're getting cut off for me. I'm probably having a software problem...either the extractor or my player (foobar). I'll do some trouble shooting.
DeleteCheers
