Blind Drunk In Shinjuku

Zerosen - Asphalt [HRLP 212 JPN 2020 24-Bit FLAC]

Here is another in my series of occasional Japanese AOR/jazz/funk/disco re-works, Asphalt (or to give its proper name, アスファルト) was originally released in 1976 on the Victor Musical Industries, Inc. label, who have finally gotten around to a repress of the highest quality. I dived straight into this album for the opening salvo of Scramble, most of the rest of the album is occasional wah-wah funk and chilled jazz/soul which should appeal to fans of library & elevator music. There is something very 'hotel lobby' about this record ....but that's a good thing is it not?

(Scramble)
(Spanish Fly)
(Circuit)
(Hand Slap)
(Asphalt)
(Paper Driver)
(Persian Night)
(Blind Drunk)
(Passing Light)
(Witch Woman)
