The Stranglers - No More Heroes [UAG 30200 UK 1977 24-Bit FLAC]
Originally a pub-rock band called The Guildford Stranglers, although none of them actually came from Guildford. JJ Burnell lived in Godalming ...which is close, I suppose! Here is my rip of The Stranglers hard-hitting second album from my original 1977 pressing, picked up cheaply in a charity shop about three decades ago.
Responsible for two of the band's biggest hits, the album also caused controversy with sexist references and the commonly misinterpreted opening track. Following a very thorough cleaning, I have opted to leave the music as is, with the full vinyl audio experience between the tracks, only running the iZotope de-click module over the fades on a max quality setting.
