Savant - Stationary Dance [POL. 09/2000 USA 1981 24-Bit FLAC]

I was delighted recently to happen upon original copies of the only single and album by Kerry Leimer's Savant on vinyl for fair prices, helped by your donations. Stationary Dance is a frozen-funk work out taking its cue from post-punk-funk, much in the same vein as Eno/Byrne's The Jezebel Spirit. For me, I can only think of how A Certain Ratio or 23 Skidoo would have sounded if produced by Adrian Sherwood. Sensible Music demonstrates Savant's early experimentation which would be taken much further on their ground-breaking The Neo-Realist (At Risk) album in 1983.
