There once was a time when I was convinced that only myself and a former college friend were Adventure Baby fans. Like the alternative to madchester, this mass ensemble of quite talented proto-twee musicians charmed the pants off those who chose to listen. Only The Adventures Babies were clever enough to out-wit The Housemartins and The Beautiful South, the only problem was that nobody else realised at the time. If you watch the Cities In The Park VHS from years ago, it reveals AH Wilson signing them them to Factory Records . In case anybody thought otherwise, The Adventure Babies were from Stafford, not Manchester.
