Belfast boy Andy White has released about fifteen albums since his first, Rave On in 1986. Most will never have heard his work, however his dylanesque and morrisonesque (that's Van of course) influences are evident with his music emphasised by his Northern Irish roots during troubled times for the province. Expect ten beautifully crafted songs blending folk and blues, tinged with indie-rock, no more so than on his catchy Vision Of You, his Celtic gem Reality Row and the angrily honest Religious Persuasion.

    Found him right at the beginning as The Ghost Of Electricity on the Another Spark compilation cassette by Robert King, Who went on to do the Pleasantly Surprised series of Cassette compilations where I discovered so much new music. On that he did The Raind Dance which of course re-surfaced as The Big Rain on this album. Anyway, thanks for this very underrated artist.
