For All You Space Cadets

Space - Magic Fly [NPSL 28232 UK 1977 24-Bit FLAC]

Just in case any of you kids out there though that Daft Punk were an original idea....

....have a look at this. Older readers will know Space, they had a huge hit in the UK and Europe with the single Magic Fly in 1977. Here is the accompanying album from these French electronic-disco whizzes. If you know your Jackie Chan, then you'll also know that the single was also used as the theme for his movie, Snake in the Eagle's Shadow.

History lesson over for now, time to don those space suits and get down to the space-funk phenomena of Space. If like me, you can be a bit of a closet disco-diva, then Carry On, Turn Me On will lighten up your glitter ball. As tacky as it is brilliant. Enjoy folks!

A1 Fasten Seat Belt
A2 Ballad For Space Lovers
A3 Tango In Space
A4 Flying Nightmare
B1 Magic Fly
B2 Velvet Rape
B3 Carry On, Turn Me On

There is a video with a couple of little singing cats performing Magic fly in youtube. In the early 80's you could have heard this song at any time in my city. It was even used as background music in several television commercials. Thank you for this.
