When he ceased being an Associate, Alan Rankine began a prolific career as a producer and song writer working with acts such as Paul Haig, Winston Tong and Anna Domino. Before beginning a solo career he was briefly one third of Scottish synthpop trio Pleasure Ground along with Jon Mais and Chris Yates, who released these two 12" singles on Les Disques Du Crépuscule. Both strongly evidence Rankine's love of pop music with a strong ear for a good and catchy pop song.
