Brilliant - Colours [RTT 105 UK 1983 24-Bit FLAC]

The second Brilliant single (and their only for Rough Trade) was a bit more funky than the first, marking a shift in style as Youth took on slap bass with great proficiency. Jimmy Cauty hadn't joined as yet, but his inclusion would mark a further shift towards chart pop. If you notice a hum on the track it is actually on the record (and not as a result of my dodgy wiring set-up) - the track was originally a BBC Radio session recording so I assume producer Tony Wilson (the other one) decided to ignore the PA hum.
